Classes have just ended for the day, and Serena and Molly are walking outside
heading towards their homes. Serena looked flat-out tired and Molly was just
full of energy.
"Ugh... what a day. First I fail my math exam, and then I forget half my lunch,
then I fail another test. (sigh) How much more tough can life get?" Serena said.
"Awww... chill out, Serena. Say, why don't we go shopping? That way you can
forget all about those dumb tests." Molly said.
"That's nice of you, Molly, but you remember what happened last time we tried
that?" Serena said.
"Oh yeah, your mother figured out that you failed within two seconds of entering
the front door. Well, don't you always tell me never to give up, even when all
seems impossible?" Molly said.
"Yeah, I guess I should get my chin back up one of these days." Serena said.
Suddenly, something in Serena's shirt pocket started to beep loudly. She
hesitated for a little since Molly was there with her, but she pulled out her
communicator nevertheless. The screen showed Amy on the other side.
"Serena! We need your help! We're getting beat out here!" Amy said.
"Okay, I'll be right there!" Serena said. Molly stepped next to her friend.
"Huh? What was that? Some new cell phone or something?" Molly asked.
"Uh... yeah. You could say that. Listen, Molly, I have to run... it's an
emergency! See you tomorrow!" Serena said. She was in such a hurry to get out of
the area and help her fellow teammates that she hadn't realized her
transformation brooch had fallen from her chest to the ground! It hit the
concrete with a thudding sound, loud enough for Molly to hear it as she looked
down at the contraption. She tried calling Serena to let her know she dropped
her brooch.
"Serena, wait! You dropped your..." Molly shouted, but Serena was already too
far gone for her to hear her friend's call, "...locket." Molly finished. She
stared down at it for a few seconds.
"Or whatever the heck it is. Honestly, Serena finds the nicest jewelry and
always forgets to tell me about it." Molly said to herself. She kneeled down to
pick it up when all of a sudden it opened up, revealing the Imperium Silver
Crystal. The crystal immediately began to glow brightly, and it glowed even
brighter the closer Molly held her hand towards this.
"What on earth is this crystal?" Molly asked. Just then, the crystal's burst of
light became blinding to Molly's eyes as she had to fall backwards and shield
her eyes. A few seconds later, she was able to open them, but something did not
look right... the brooch looked bigger, much bigger! It was big enough that
Molly would've had to climb up just to stand on top of it. And that's when it
hit Molly.
"Oh no!! That weird thing of Serena's just shrunk me!" Molly shouted before she
screamed to her heart's content.
Meanwhile, a few blocks away from where Serena had dropped her brooch, she
joined her fellow sailor scouts (all already transformed) as they were trying
their best to fight off another one of Alan & Ann's cardian youma. This youma
resembled a human butterfly more than anything else, and the girls were
struggling to get their attacks off.
"I'm here, everyone!" Serena shouted.
"Well, don't just stand there! How about giving us a hand!?" Raye shouted.
"Alright, alright... you don't have to get pushy with me." Serena said. She
reached to grab her brooch, but she looked to see it wasn't there.
"Huh? What happened? Where's my transforming brooch!?" Serena said.
"What!? What a time to forget your most valuable item." Mina shouted.
"Oh... I must've dropped it because I was in such a hurry to join you guys!"
Serena said.
"Way to go, meatball head..." Raye grunted in disgust.
"Well, I'm not gonna stand here and wait to get our behinds kicked. Supreme
Thunder!!!" Lita shouted. Her blast of electricity was able to stun the
butterfly monster. On top of that, it got struck with a white rose that came
flying from the sky. All the sailor scouts looked on top of one of the buildings
to see Moonlight Knight standing there.
"Fear not, sailor scouts, for this lonely butterfly can make its way back to its
nest with the help of teamwork." he said.
"We've tried that, but the youma keeps deflecting our attacks." Amy said.
"Maybe all at once, but together is the key to victory, especially when you pull
the greatest of your power from deep within!" he said.
"Well, you heard the man, let's go for it!" Mina said. The other three sailor
scouts nodded and got ready to pull a simultaneous attack on the cardian.
"Venus Meteor Shower!" Mina shouted.
"Jupiter Thunder Dragon!" Lita shouted.
"Mars Firebird Strike!" Raye shouted.
"Mercury Ice Bubbles!" Amy shouted. The four attacks all struck the monster and
it vanished instantly, reverting back to a card in which the image faded into
blackness.
Alan and Ann then appeared floating in the sky.
"Cursed sailor scouts! You're gonna pay for this one day!" Ann said.
"We'll be back, and our cardians will be stronger than ever!" Alan shouted
before the two vanished.
"Hah! I'd like to see you try!" Raye shouted.
"Excellent teamwork, sailor scouts. Truly your powers will become one when you
work together like this. And Sailor Moon, do not feel guilty that you could not
help your friends today. As long as you are the leader, you shall be respected."
Moonlight Knight said.
"Gee, thanks..." Serena said softly. She knew despite his advice that there was
going to be some hard feelings from some of the girls because she couldn't
transform when they could've needed her most.
"So long, ladies..." Moonlight Knight said before he jumped out of the picture.
Meanwhile, the other sailor scouts were joining around Serena, curious to know
why she forgot her transforming device.
"Well, what's the deal, meatball head!?" Raye said.
"Now now, Raye, calm down. Serena said she was in a hurry, didn't you?" Amy
asked.
"Yeah. I was called suddenly." Serena said.
"Heh... a true leader doesn't just forget her most important items, like the
very thing she needs to transform." Raye said.
"Raye! You're so mean!!! Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!" Serena said before she let
loose with the waterworks, as in loudly crying without a care for the world.
"Geez... Raye, just let it go already. We defeated the monster and that's all
that matters." Lita said.
"(sigh) Whatever. I'm going back to the temple now. Let me know when we discuss
having a new leader or something." Raye said as she transformed back to her
regular self and stormed off, still not happy either with having to be suddenly
called into battle just like Serena or seeing Serena so ill-prepared. Serena
calmed down now to watch Raye walk off into the distance.
"Don't worry about her. I feel just like her, this was truly a surprise attack
by those two evil aliens." Mina said.
"Well, she didn't have to go off hurting Serena's feelings like that." Lita
said.
"I guess I'll see you all later. I'll go get my brooch back now." Serena said.
Amy, Lita, and Mina all simply watched as Serena walked away.
Meanwhile, the tiny Molly was sitting on top of Serena's locket that she used
to transform to Sailor Moon. She just sat down idly, occasionally waving her
hands about when a normal-sized person would walk by. Sadly, nobody seemed to
notice her.
"(sigh) Now I know how it feels to be a mouse. How am I going to get back to
normal size?" Molly said to herself. Just then, she looked ahead past a group of
people to see Serena walking towards her locket.
"Hey... this thing belonged to Serena, maybe she'll know... Serena!!! Serena!!!"
Molly said, once again frantically waving her arms and jumping up and down on
top of the locket. Serena kept on walking until she was on top of the locket.
She got down on her knees to pick it up.
"One of these days they'll truly realize just how much I deserve to be the
leader." Serena said, thinking out loud. Then as she looked down at her locket
and reached down to get it, she stopped when she noticed something on top of it.
"Serena!!! Down here!!!" Molly shouted from the top of her lungs. Serena had
to rub her eyes thinking she was seeing a ghost, but she really and truly was
seeing Molly, only a scant few inches tall and standing on top of her locket.
"Molly? Is that you?" Serena asked.
"Yeah... who else do you think it would be?" Molly said. Serena laid her right
hand out for Molly to walk onto before she lifted herself up again, with her
locket in her left hand.
"Well... don't you see, you're soooooo small now!" Serena said. Molly was
getting frustrated now.
"Geez, Serena, you don't have to rub it in. What is with that locket anyway? You
dropped it when you hurried off. I reach down to touch it, and the next thing I
know, I'm the size of a doll!" Molly said. This was a tense time for Serena...
clearly Molly had discovered the secret powers of her transformation brooch,
although she didn't think it had the power to shrink those that came near it
either. Either way, the more Serena was looking at the tiny Molly, the more she
suddenly became entranced with her new state. She couldn't explain it, but there
was this weird feeling that was starting to overcome her.
"Well, I guess we can find out how to reverse you to normal later. Why don't
you stay with me at my home?" Serena asked.
"Well, I might as well. Wouldn't want to freak anyone else out looking like
this." Molly said.
"Great! We're going to have so much fun together!" Serena said, cuddling Molly
up to her face and giggling like a little child.
"Hey! Easy on the hair, Serena!" Molly shouted. Serena then starting walking
back towards home, anxious for some unknown reason to play with her new 'toy.'
With the night sky beginning to set in, Serena arrived home seeing her mom in
the kitchen. Of course, she held on tight to the shrunken Molly, which she would
sometimes refer to as Molly the Dolly. This naturally got Molly irritated every
time she heard it, but there was nothing she could do as small as she was.
"I'm home!" Serena shouted.
"Oh, welcome home, Serena! I made your favorite... vanilla ice cream cake!"
Serena's mom said as she handed her meatball-headed daughter the plate full of
cake.
"Oh boy! I love vanilla ice cream cake!" Serena shouted. She quickly ran
upstairs to her room, nearly bumping into her little brother, Sammy, in the
process. Molly was feeling dizzy from catching all the air that was flying past
her body from Serena running so fast for her room.
Finally, Serena got in her room and sat down at her desk, placing both the
shrunken Molly and the cake on the surface. She just couldn't wait to eat the
cake that she immediately picked it up and started chomping away. As fast as she
was digging into the cake, it was making Molly feel very nervous.
"Ugh... I'd hate to be sitting on that cake with you eating it." Molly said.
Serena looked over at Molly.
"Yeah, you're right. I guess I should've told you I'm a fast eater." Serena
said. Then she looked down at her cake.
"Hey, why don't you have some?" Serena said, holding a small piece in front of
Molly's face. Molly nervously backed away.
"Uh... no thanks, I don't really like cake too much." Molly said, trying to wave
it off, but Serena just kept on inching it closer and closer.
"Come on, Molly, you don't want to go starving on me, do you?" Serena said.
"No, but it's just... Serena! Please! STOP!" Molly said, but finally her mouth
was forced open with Serena using her fingernails to seperate her lips and drop
the cake down her throat. It took Molly so much by surprise, she started choking
somewhat. Eventually she caught her breath and Molly was back to just coughing.
It took her about thirty seconds to catch her breath... but before she knew it,
here came another piece of cake.
"Open wide!" Serena said, giggling. Molly was once again forced to take the
piece of cake in her mouth. Although she didn't choke this time, she coughed
from the painful swallowing. As she caught her breath once more, she took a few
steps closer to Serena.
"Serena, please! No more! You're gonna make me puke..." Molly said, just
saying that word causing her to hold her hands over her mouth. Serena noticed
her friend's condition and decided to rub her finger against her back.
"Gee, sorry... I guess I got carried away. You're still cute when you hold your
mouth like that!" Serena said.
"Oh please, don't start with that Molly the Dolly stuff again." Molly said. Just
then, Serena could hear her mother calling from downstairs.
"Serena! Someone's here to see you!" her mom shouted.
"Who is it?" Serena shouted, busting Molly's eardrums because she was so small
compared to Serena.
"It's Molly's mother! She sounds worried!" her mom shouted. Serena gasped a
little upon hearing that. Apparently she had forgotten about Molly's mother.
Serena was quick to realize that seeing her daughter at four inches tall
wouldn't exactly be the most exciting thing in the world for Molly's mother to
see. Molly was just as worried.
"Huh!? What do we do now, Serena? Mom's gonna freak when she sees me like this!"
Molly shouted.
"Not if I can buy some time..." Serena said as she got up from her chair and
walked out of her room. She went downstairs and saw Molly's mother standing just
outside the front door.
"Mrs. Baker, what brings you here?" Serena said, walking up to Molly's mother
to greet her warmly. Mrs. Baker kept her hands close to her chest.
"Oh, Serena, have you seen Molly anywhere by any chance? I've been trying to
reach her for the past couple of hours!" Mrs. Baker said. This is when it
hit Serena, she hadn't thought about Molly's mother through all this. As Molly
said before, just how was she going to react to seeing her daughter so tiny. But
then, she came up with an idea as she looked down at her locket.
"She's here, Mrs. Baker. Hold on, I'll get her!" Serena said. She then ran
upstairs and back into her room. Molly saw her giantess friend run in and dig
through a nearby backpack.
"Serena, what's going on!? Is my mother down there?" Molly asked. Serena then
pulled out a very familiar object of hers, the Disguise Pen.
"Can't talk right now, Molly! I'll be right back!" Serena said as she ran back
out and towards the bathroom. Serena closed the door behind her and then looked
at the mirror.
"Well, here goes nothing..." Serena said. She then held up the Disguise Pen
in the air.
"Disguise Power! Change me into my good friend, Molly!" Serena said. After a few
seconds of sparkling magic eminating from the pen, Serena was no longer her
regular self. She did wear the same outfit, after all, but her hairstyle now
matched that of Molly's! She was almost an exact duplicate of her friend, minus
the voice of course, but Serena hoped that her mother wouldn't notice that.
After she straightened out her new red curly hair, Serena walked downstairs
again to face Molly's mother at the front door.
"Hey, mom!" Serena said, trying her best to copy Molly's voice.
"Oh, Molly... thank goodness you're alright. I've been trying to reach you for
what seems like forever!" Mrs. Baker said.
"I'm sorry, mom, I was studying with Serena. A little too hard, I guess..."
Serena said. Serena's mom was standing nearby.
"Serena studying? Now there's something you don't find every day!" Serena's mom
said.
"Shall we go home now, Molly? It is getting pretty late, after all." Mrs. Baker
said.
"Uh... well, you see, mom... Serena's asked me to sleep with her tonight. We're
having a weekend slumber party, she tells me." Serena said. She was starting to
sweat thinking she had said something that was abnormal of Molly.
"Oh, well... that's okay. You and Serena are such good friends, I can trust you
two will have a good time. Just make sure you come home sometime soon!" Mrs.
Baker said.
"Of course, mom. I'll be careful." Serena said. She decided to further convince
her mom by giving her a kiss on the face.
"Awww... I love you, Molly. She's in your hands now." Mrs. Baker said as she
looked over at Serena's mom.
"Oh, of course. I'll make sure I watch over them. I'm kinda in charge around
here with my husband on a business trip." Serena's mom said.
"I see. Well, see you later!" Mrs. Baker said as she finally left the door.
Serena, still as Molly, took a deep breath now that the crisis of Molly's mother
had passed.
"Something wrong, Molly?" Serena's mom said, supposedly hearing that breath of
air.
"Oh... um... nothing. It's nothing really. I gotta get back upstairs now!"
Serena said as she ran back upstairs.
"Oh well... anything's possible when those two are together." Serena's mom said
as she shrugged her suspicions off and went back into the kitchen to do the
dishes.
Once Serena looked around and made sure nobody was around her in the hallway, she pulled out her Disguise Pen and used it to transform back into her regular self.
While all this was going on, Molly was pacing back and forth on top of
Serena's desk, waiting for her friend to return. Just then, Molly looked at the
door to see her purple cat, Luna, walking into the room. Molly looked as Luna
was walking around the room.
"Serena never told me she has a cat..." Molly said. Just then, Luna looked up at
the desk, almost straight into Molly's eyes. Molly gasped as she fell back
nervously.
"Uh oh... she's spotted me. Well, I guess the cat is a she just by looking
at her." Molly said to herself. Then Luna jumped up on the chair and then jumped
on top of the desk. Molly was really sweating now. She was small enough to be
cat food if she wasn't careful. Luna looked carefully at the tiny Molly as she
backed away.
"Hmmm... this must be some new doll that Serena got." Luna said out loud.
Molly gasped once more. Surely she didn't just see what she just saw.
"What the...!? You can talk!?" Molly shouted. Luna was taken aback as well.
"This is the most realistic doll I have ever seen!" Luna said. She laid out one
of her paws and used it to lightly touch Molly in her chest.
"Hey! Stop that... it tickles!" Molly said. Luna took her paw back and
continued to look at Molly right in the eyes.
"Um... nice kitty. Good kitty!" Molly said. Just then, Serena entered the room
again and saw Luna on top of her desk looking at the little Molly.
"Luna! Here, Luna!" Serena shouted. Luna heard this and leaped off the desk.
"Serena, what kind of doll is that on your desk? I've never seen a doll that
realistic before." Luna said. Serena sweated a little, thinking her secret was
just blown by the ever-so-curious Luna, but then again, she didn't sound
suspicious or anything like that, as she clearly thought Molly was some kind of
doll. Serena used this to her advantage.
"Um... yeah. Yeah! That's a new doll I saw today. I just couldn't resist picking
it up." Serena said.
"Are you sure there's nothing wrong with it? What if it could be from the
Negaverse!?" Luna shouted.
"Oh, Luna, you worry too much. Don't worry, this doll's perfectly safe. Aren't
you, Molly the Dolly?" Serena said down to Molly as she walked over to her desk.
Molly didn't bother to say a word. Surely Serena did not mean what she said, or
did she?
As the moon began to shine over the night sky, Serena had changed into her
pajamas and was busy talking away with her other friends. Some of them had been
curious to know where Molly was, but Serena convinced them that she was
perfectly safe. Molly, on the other hand, was getting frustrated with being
treated like this. As Serena hung up her phone, Molly walked to the edge of the
desk and shouted over for Serena. Serena heard her and came over.
"Yes, Molly?" Serena said.
"Serena... how long am I going to be stuck like this? I feel so helpless doing
nothing around here." Molly said.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I guess I kinda forgot. You know... we should get you out of
those clothes. You've been wearing them all day." Serena said.
"What!? No, please... really, Serena, I'm just fine the way I am!" Molly said.
"Oh, don't be silly. Besides, I've got this doll outfit that Stacey gave to me,
even though I'm not much into dolls these days!" Serena said. She searched
through her drawers and eventually found a small green-colored box. She opened
the box, and inside was a sailor's outfit and some knee-high boots, both colored
with a mix of white and cyan, and small enough to fit Molly at her size. It
looked amazingly similar to the outfits that she and her other four good friends
wear as sailor scouts. She then took the outfit and dropped the items next to
Molly.
"Here you go. Go ahead and change." Serena said.
"But Serena..." Molly said.
"Just do it... pleeeeeeeease?" Serena said, begging with her shrunken friend.
"(sigh) Fine." Molly said. Serena turned around for a few seconds and then
looked to see Molly in the new outfit (complete with those cyan-colored shoes).
"Wow... you look great!" Serena said.
"Thanks, I guess." Molly said.
"Y'know, you might even look like those sailor scouts we always talk about."
Serena said.
"You really think so?" Molly said.
"Yep! How about I call you Sailor Earth?" Serena said, smiling. Molly actually
giggled over hearing that name.
"Sailor Earth? Come on, Serena... can't you give me a more out there name...
like maybe Sailor Pluto or something?" Molly said.
"Nah... Sailor Earth suits you fine, because you feel so close to home." Serena
said. Both girls giggled again.
"Gosh, thank you, Serena. I'm suddenly starting to feel a little better."
Molly said.
"I was hoping this would cheer you up." Serena said. But suddenly... Molly went
back into a depressing state of mood.
"Huh? What's wrong? Don't you like the Sailor Earth look?" Serena said.
"Oh, it's not that, I like this outfit. I'm just reminded of that last day I
spent with Maxfield Stanton... or Nephlyte." Molly said.
"Oh..." Serena said, the story coming back to her as well. Serena decided to sit
down at her desk as she looked closely at Molly trying to fight back tears.
"I can remember the sailor scouts were there... trying to save him. But it was
too late... no fault to them. That evil lady was responsible." Molly said.
Serena lightly patted Molly on the head in an effort to calm her down.
"Oh, Serena, not a day has passed when I would think about Nephlyte. I just miss
him that much... I... I..." Molly said, now losing her self-composure, "I miss
him, Serena. He was my true love..."
Molly couldn't hold back the tears anymore. Serena felt really sorry for her
little friend now.
"Oh, Molly... I'm so sorry." Serena said. She then picked up Molly and hugged
her against her chest. Molly just let Serena's soft skin soothe her feelings.
"Please don't cry. Everything's going to be okay. I'm here for you." Serena
said, occasionally patting Molly as well. Serena could feel her friend's tiny
tears trickle down her body, but they eventually wore away as Molly started to
calm down.
"Thank you, Serena. You've been a true friend." Molly said, her voice muffled
from being stuck with Serena. Finally, Serena pulled her away and set her back
on the desk.
"We should get to bed now. It's getting late." Serena said.
"But where am I going to sleep?" Molly said. Indeed, that was a pressing issue
for Serena... finding a place for Molly to sleep. Finally, Serena looked at
Luna, who was laying down on the floor beside Serena's bed, and had an idea.
"Luna... can Molly the Dolly sleep on you tonight?" Serena said.
"Huh? What do you think I am, a bed?" Luna said.
"Well... Molly's special. That's why!" Serena said. She then gently placed Molly
on Luna's furry back. Luna simply didn't move and went back to trying to fall
asleep. Serena stood back up to her full height.
"There you go, Molly. Sleep tight." Serena said as she started to jump into her
own bed.
"Hey... Serena? How can your cat talk?" Molly said.
"Uh... well, it's a very advanced kind of cat. A robot if you will! My... uh...
my family is the first to test it out!" Serena said. Molly could tell that
Serena was clearly lying, but she didn't bother to press her any further on the
issue. First there was Serena's locket shrinking her to four inches tall, and
then there was Luna talking. She continued to hope this was just a bad dream she
would eventually wake up from, especially with Serena finally going to sleep.
Serena then turned off her lamp as the room became shrouded in darkness.
"Good night, Serena." Molly said, even though Serena couldn't possibly hear
that.
Later that night, Molly was sleeping just fine... that is, until Serena started to snore really loudly. She was definitely known for that as they once talked about that in school, but Molly didn't think it was this bad. She tried in every way to shield her ears from the insanely loud snoring (especially at her size), but it was doing her no good. But then, about an hour later, she eventually fell asleep to the snoring.
When the morning sun finally rose, Molly (still in her 'Sailor Earth' outfit
I might add) awoke feeling rather groggy, but at least Serena stopped snoring.
But she was still fast asleep in her bed. Molly looked to see one of Serena's
well-known long pigtails hanging down from her side of the bed. Molly felt
inclined to help wake up Serena since she was known for sleeping overtime a lot.
So Molly hopped off Luna's back and grabbed Serena's hair in an attempt to climb
it. But just as she started doing that, the hair started rising up suddenly.
Serena was getting up!
"Whoa!!!" Molly shouted in surprise. She looked up as Serena sat up in her bed
and stretched herself. Molly was stunned that she actually got up on her own for
a change... but now there was the issue of hanging on for dear life as she swung
around her hair. Serena then got up from her bed, accidentally stepping on
Luna's tail again. Luna meowed in pain as Serena quickly lifted up her feet.
"Oops... are you alright, Luna?" Serena asked. Luna was licking her tail to make
sure it wasn't in any pain.
"Great, never felt better..." Luna said sarcastically, "That's the tenth time
this month you've stepped on my tail getting out of bed!"
"Gee, sorry. You don't have to rub it in like you always do with our Negaverse
battles." Serena said. Molly heard the word Negaverse and could only wonder what
the heck that meant.
"Hey, where's Molly? Wasn't she sleeping on your back?" Serena said.
"I don't know. That's where she was when I fell asleep." Luna said. But Serena
didn't have to search for long. She looked in her mirror and could just see
Molly hanging from one of her pigtails. Serena held a hand underneath her hair
and allowed Molly to drop herself down to her hand. Serena then moved her hand
up to her face and looked at the shrunken Molly.
"Molly? What were you doing swinging from my hair? You think it's pretty, don't
you?" Serena said.
"Well, I guess that's true. But I was thinking about waking you up until you
took me for a ride!" Molly said.
"Well, try to be more careful next time you're trying to do that. You could've
been really hurt!" Serena said.
"I know... I'm sorry, Serena." Molly said. Serena just smiled down to her
friend, a sign that she was accepting her apology.
Just then, Serena heard her communicator go off. She picked it up from her
desk and answered it to see Amy on the viewscreen.
"Amy, what's up?" Serena asked.
"Serena... we're about to start our regular sailor scout meeting. Where are
you?" Amy said.
"Well... I just got up. But I'll be there shortly!" Serena said.
"You better hurry up, you meatball head!" Raye shouted in the background. The
picture then went out as Serena set the communicator back on her desk. Without
thinking slowly and surely, she put Molly down on the floor and then quickly
changed into her regular school outfit.
"Come on, Luna, we don't want to make Raye angry, do we?" Serena said.
"Hey, Serena, what about... me?" Molly said, but Serena didn't hear her as she
and Luna were quick to run out the door. Molly was all by herself, standing on
the floor in Serena's really big room.
"Oh well... I guess I can explore the room while I wait for them." Molly said.
Indeed, about thirty minutes had passed, and Molly was doing nothing but
walking around Serena's room. She hoped that she would come back soon. Just
then, Molly heard the sound of footsteps in the hallway. She looked to see if
Serena had come back... but instead, Serena's mom entered the room with a dust
buster in hand.
"Oh gosh... Serena's mom is here to clean the place out!" Molly said. Molly
backed away, not wanting to be seen by Serena's mother as she did her dusting
around Serena's room.
This would go on for a few minutes, as Molly backed into one of Serena's
bookcases to try and hide from. But this would do her no good. She was taken by
surprise by Mom's gigantic foot coming down and then the rest of her body as she
kneeled down to sweep up behind the bookcases. Molly was surprised that Serena's
mom would dust anywhere in her room. But that wasn't the least of her worries.
Serena's mom looked down and immediately stopped brushing when she saw the tiny
Molly in front of her. Molly shivered in fear, thinking the worst was about to
happen. But it didn't based on what Serena's mom said next.
"(sigh) That's Serena for you. Always leaving her dolls laying around." Serena's
mom said. Molly breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed Serena's mom also mistook
Molly for a doll. Molly then held still when Serena's mom reached down to pick
her up. She placed her near the open window above the bookcase, and Molly
immediately felt the stiff breeze as she gripped onto the curtains.
"There, that's better." Serena's mom said. She then went back to dusting around
the room. Another stiff breeze started to overtake Molly and she ended up losing
her grip and falling outside.
"Noooooooo!!!!" Molly screamed in terror. But to her luck, she landed on a
rather thick weed as she slid down towards the grassy surface. Molly brushed her
'Sailor Earth' outfit (with knee-high boots) of the dirt that had covered her
during her soft landing.
"How lucky can one possibly get?" Molly said to herself. She then looked around
her to see she was now in the outside world.
"(sigh) I better get back inside the house before Serena does. I wouldn't want
to worry her." Molly said as she started her long walk back to the front of the
house.
Moments later, Serena was walking slowly back from the Cherry Hill Temple and
was making her way back towards home.
"Well, that was certainly an entertaining meeting. I don't know what Raye was so
cranky about." Serena said.
"Probably because you weren't upholding your responsibilities as a leader
by showing up late." Luna said.
"Hey, come on, we both overslept! Who else was going to wake me?" Serena said.
"That very realistic doll you call Molly. Are you certain she's really a doll?
And besides... that girl sounds very familiar to me." Luna said.
"I'm sure it's nothing, Luna. And speaking of Molly, we really should check up
on her." Serena said.
"What's so special about, I quote, a 'doll' like Molly?" Luna said.
"Well... she's very fragile, let's just say." Serena said.
Molly, now walking on the sidewalk, was just a few steps away from
re-entering Serena's home. But all of a sudden, a whooshing sound could be heard
behind Molly. She looked behind herself to see nothing... but then she felt
herself being grabbed as she was lifted into the air.
"What the...? Arrrrgh!!! Let me go! What is this, Serena!?" Molly shouted. She
finally corrected herself and looked the other way only to look into the eyes of
another of the Negaverse's cardians. It was Amphibia,
the one Raye previously fried to a crisp when she learned her new powers.
Somehow she's been brought back to life.
"Well, well... I didn't know that sailor scouts came big and small." Amphibia
said, gaining a voice in the process.
"Wait! You're mistaken! I'm no sailor scout!" Molly shouted.
"Oh give me a break... anyone wearing those pretty outfits is definitely a
sailor scout in my amphibious eyes. I wonder how little sailor scouts like you
taste." Amphibia said as she opened her slimy mouth wide.
"No, please... don't eat me! Someone help me!!!" Molly shouted as she screamed
for dear life.
Serena and Luna turned the corner of the street and saw Amphibia standing
right in front of her home.
"Serena! A cardian is in front of your home!" Luna shouted.
"Yeah... and I thought I defeated this one... and she's got Molly!" Serena
shouted as she saw how the creature was about to eat Molly alive!
"I'll distract it while you transform!" Luna shouted. She then ran towards the
monster and bit her ankle.
"Ouch!" Amphibia shouted as she looked to see Luna gripping to her body with her
sharp teeth.
"You little feline pest! I'll teach you for messing with Amphibia!" Amphibia
shouted. She pulled Molly away from her mouth and once again held her at chest
level while trying to shake off Luna. Molly, through all the shaking that was
going through Amphibia's body, was able to see Serena out in the distance.
"Serena! Run away, save yourself! Maybe Sailor Moon can stop this thing if you
can find her!" Molly shouted. Serena, slowly approaching the cardian, just was
able to hear Molly's words. She knew she was going to have to do some serious
explaining to her good friend after this battle. But she took a deep breath and
then put on her face of determination as she took her transformation locket off
from her chest.
"Amphibia! You'll regret ever having messed with my little friend like that.
It's time I taught you a lesson!" Serena shouted as she then held the locket up
in the air.
"Moon Crystal Power!!!" Serena shouted. Just like that, she transformed from
clumsy school-girl Serena to the warrior of love and justice, Sailor Moon. Molly
couldn't believe her eyes over what she was seeing. Serena, of all people, was
the one (aside from the other sailor scouts) protecting her fellow humans from
the forces of evil in Tokyo.
"Serena... is Sailor Moon?" Molly said to herself.
"I am Sailor Moon! Champion of justice, and on behalf of the Moon, I will right
wrongs and triumph over evil! And that means you!" Sailor Moon shouted, doing
her usual battle cry that we're all familiar with.
"So... Sailor Moon comes out to play, eh? Well, take this!" Amphibia shouted as
she shot a slimeball out from her mouth. But Serena leapt over it and pulled out
her scepter in the process.
"No, how about taking this!?" Serena said as she slammed her scepter on
Amphibia's face. This stunned her greatly and caused her to drop Molly.
"Luna! Catch Molly!" Serena shouted in mid-air as she flipped back to a few
yards away from the cardian. Indeed, Luna allowed Molly to fall safely on her
back. Luna ran behind Sailor Moon as she stood face-to-face with Amphibia, whose
face was really contorted from the hit.
"My face... my beautiful face! The healing process wasn't strong enough!"
Amphibia said.
"Healing process? So it seems those two brats, Alan and Ann, brought you back to
life. Well, they won't this time!" Serena said. She then began to power up her
scepter.
"Moon Scepter... Elimination!" Serena shouted.
"Noooooooooooo!!!!!" Amphibia screamed in pain as it vanished not to a card, but
this time completely into dust. Serena gave herself a thumbs-up for the victory.
"Well, that's the last we'll see of Amphibia." Serena said. She then turned
around and looked down at Luna, but most importantly at Molly... Serena knew
there was no escaping it. It was time Molly learned the truth now that she
witnessed it for herself. Serena, still as Sailor Moon, walked over to Luna in
order to speak with Molly.
"Magnificent work, Serena! And you didn't even need the help of your fellow
sailor scouts! I'm so proud of the way you handled that battle!" Luna shouted,
trying to praise Serena in every way. But Serena wasn't listening. Instead she
bent herself down and picked up Molly from Luna's back before standing back up
and looking down at her. Molly stood easily on Serena's gloved right hand and
simply looked in awe at her friend dressed up as a fine-looking heroine in the
form of Sailor Moon.
"Oh... I see." Luna said, seeing what was about to transpire between the two.
"Molly... I..." Serena said, having trouble finding the right words to say.
"I kinda had a feeling you were Sailor Moon, Serena." Molly said.
"Huh?" Serena said.
"It just made perfect sense... who else in the world could have an expensive
communication device to talk with her friends instead of a phone? Who else would
have a locket that would shrink anyone that it didn't belong to? Who else could
have a talking cat? And, more importantly, who else would stand up to a
disgusting monster and save me from danger?" Molly said.
"Molly... I really don't know what to say to you." Serena said. Molly just shook
her head.
"There's nothing to say, Serena. I understand you were keeping a very important
secret." Molly said.
"Oh, Molly... you're such a good friend!" Serena said. She then got so
sentimental, she ended up hugging Molly again close to her chest, this time a
little more tight than normal.
"Ouch! Serena... you're squeezing me a little too tight!" Molly shouted.
"Oops... I'm sorry. I'll be more careful. You promise to keep this a secret?"
Serena asked.
"Of course. I wouldn't tell a soul in this world." Molly said. Serena smiled
down at her friend.
"You've suffered for long enough. I'm gonna help you grow back to normal size
now." Serena said. This was certainly an easier task for Serena now that she was
transformed as Sailor Moon. She placed Molly down on the sidewalk and held onto
her locket.
"Now, let's see if this will work. Moon Crystal Healing, Activation!!!" Serena
shouted as she focused the silver crystal's energy down on Molly. The magic
energy swirled around her like a bunch of hula-hoops put together. And sure
enough, Molly began to grow (her 'Sailor Earth' outfit grew with her). She grew
until she was back to her normal size.
"Whew... finally. It's good to be standing with you eye-to-eye again!" Molly
shouted as she and Serena hugged each other in happiness.
Luna then walked up to the two girls, anxious to finally get answers from
Serena.
"Alright, Serena, you're going to tell me what's going on now!" Luna shouted.
"(sigh) I'm very sorry, Luna. Molly here isn't really a doll. She's one of my
friends that got shrunken down when she touched my locket yesterday." Serena
said.
"Really? I didn't think the locket would have that kind of power... but how come
you didn't just revert her back to normal size immediately?" Luna said. Serena
had to spend a few seconds coming up with a reasonable answer. But Molly came to
her rescue.
"She didn't want to reveal her true identity in the process. That I can
understand." Molly said.
"Yeah... and to be honest, I thought Molly looked cute at a smaller size."
Serena said.
"Well, I'll give you that... I always thought Molly was a doll myself. It
must've been the happy emotional energy of the locket that caused us to think
differently of this situation." Luna said. Molly just shook her head trying not
to understand all of this that was going on.
"Whatever. Can we just get home? I know my mom is dying to see me again." Molly
said.
"Oh, yeah. Sure thing, Molly. I'll walk you back home." Serena said as she
transformed back into regular ol' Serena.
"And how about you explain this whole thing about being Sailor Moon on the way
back?" Molly said.
"Well, alright then. Go inside, Luna, I'll be back shortly." Serena said as Luna
complied by walking through the front door that Serena opened for her. Serena
and Molly then started with the long walk back to Molly's home.
By the time the two girls finally reached Molly's home, Serena had finished
telling her alternate life's story as both Sailor Moon, the princess of the
Moon, and the one to totally defeat the evil Queen Beryl of the Negaverse, the
same evil empire that Nephlyte once worked for.
"Princess of the Moon? The Negaverse? That's quite an incredible story." Molly
said.
"But it's true, and if I don't work hard, this entire planet will be doomed."
Serena said.
"So you're basically saying our destinies are in your hands? And you don't even
get your homework done!" Molly said.
"Molly!" Serena shouted, scoffing at that last thought.
"Just kidding, Serena. Seriously, you're not that great at taking care of
yourself, but you take care of others real well, and that's what should count
the most." Molly said.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Serena said.
"And thank goodness there are people like you out there protecting us." Molly
said.
"Thank you, Molly. Just pleeeeease keep this a secret?" Serena said.
"From the bottom of my heart, Serena." Molly said, winking an eye to Serena. She
then knocked on the front door to her house. It opened a short while later, and
there was Mrs. Baker standing there.
"Molly? Where have you been!? I've been so worried about you." Mrs. Baker
shouted, giving her daughter a hug.
"I told you she'd be in good hands." Serena said, trying not to speak literally
considering Molly did have to live in Serena's hands for almost a day.
"Yes, I should know better than to not trust you, Serena. You take such good
care of your friends." Mrs. Baker said.
"Thank you, Mrs. Baker." Serena said.
"My goodness... what is that outfit you've got on Molly? Are you trying to be a
sailor scout or something?" Mrs. Baker said. Both girls giggled over that.
"Not really, Mom. I'll tell you later once I've taken a nap." Molly said.
"Yes, you do that. I can imagine you and Serena had quite a night last night."
Mrs. Baker said. She stepped aside and allowed Molly to walk in.
"Well, have a good day, Serena, and thank you for watching over Molly." Mrs.
Baker said. Serena just nodded before Mrs. Baker shut the door. Serena then
started to step away from Molly's house and proceeded to head for home.
Midway through her trip back home, Serena stopped and thought about
something.
"Imagine if Molly really was Sailor Earth... nah, maybe in another lifetime. I
like her just the way she is." Serena said to herself before she put that theory
aside and continued her trek back towards home, and more importantly, back
towards normalcy.
