(BiggerBetterBarbie)
Serena and Rini were both sitting on the couch in the living room, watching
as the ceremony played out in New York City on their television set.
"I think our music is so much better than what they play there." Serena said.
"For once, I agree with you." Rini said. But finally, after a few more minutes
of dealing with American rock 'n roll, the girls watched as the countdown began
towards the gigantic Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center being lit up from top
to bottom.
"Well, it's finally time." Serena said.
"I can't wait to see the tree all lit up!" Rini said. Finally, the countdown
ended, and the tree suddenly found itself covered in rainbow-colored lights. Of
course, many different ornaments stood out as well, such as candy canes, teddy
bears, small model trains... you name it, it was probably on the tree made as an
ornament.
"Wow, it's beautiful. Of course, it can't compare to the Christmas trees where I
come from." Rini said.
"Well, that's because you're from the 30th century, where EVERYTHING is much
more glamorous." Serena said, thinking back to when she and her friends traveled
to Crystal Tokyo to save the Serena of that time, Neo Queen Serenity.
Eventually, after watching a couple more minutes of the show play out, Rini
suddenly thought of something in her mind.
"Hmmm... why can't we do something like that?" Rini said.
"What are you talking about?" Serena said.
"You know, get a big Christmas tree and decorate it from top to bottom with all
the lights, ornaments, and decorations we can find?" Rini said.
"Well, first we gotta get a Christmas tree for this house, and..." Serena said
before being interrupted by Rini.
"Not here, Serena! I mean we should get a really, really big tree like the one
in that city! It'll be big enough for the whole city to see!" Rini said.
"Rini, I don't mean to burst your bubble like a toy building that you step on,
but I don't think they make Christmas trees that big around here." Serena said.
Rini, however, kept her smile.
"Not after I give it my special water. Wait here!" Rini said. She got up
and ran upstairs into Serena's room, which naturally she shared most of the
time. About a minute later, she returned holding a small squirt bottle filled up
with a sparkling water.
"Tada! I call this Just Add Water, because when you just add water, the object
will grow." Rini said.
"I should've known you'd have another growth thingy in your bag of tricks."
Serena said.
"Actually, it was delivered from the future." Rini said.
"Whatever. I'd like to see that thing work!" Serena said.
"Oh, you will. But first, we need to get that tree!" Rini said.
"Alright, alright... first we better bundle up. It's cold out there!" Serena
said as they both ran upstairs to change their outfits.
A few minutes later, Serena and Rini were walking around downtown, dressed up
in their winter outfits (from the S movie). Rini had brought along a rather
large wagon to help store the tree once they got it, and it didn't take them
long to find one. The girls eventually found a shop that was selling plastic
trees for low prices, and Serena picked out the one that Rini liked. With help
from the store owner, the tree was loaded into the wagon.
"There we go! The perfect tree!" Rini said.
"Right... the perfect tree for you, anyway." Serena said.
"Come on, we need to take this to the perfect spot." Rini said. She then took
the wagon's handle and starting running with it.
"Hey, be careful!" Serena shouted as she followed her.
Finally, the two girls arrived at the base of the Tokyo Tower.
"Here we are. Where else but Tokyo Tower as the perfect place for this tree?"
Rini said.
"Well, it does make sense." Serena said. The two girls then worked together in
moving the six-foot-tall tree from the wagon to the ground.
"Okay, now to make this tree grow!" Rini said. She then pulled out 'Just Add
Water' and started sprinkling the tree with the magical water.
"Um, Rini, just one question. How long is this water supposed to last?" Serena
asked.
"Oh, to reverse the effects of this water, you just spray the object with
regular water. Simple!" Rini said.
"Oh, good." Serena said.
"Going up!" Rini said, watching as the tree started to grow bigger and bigger.
The girls backed away as the bottom of the tree grew towards them. Finally, the
tree stopped growing, going from 6 feet tall to a massive 300 feet tall.
"That's amazing!" Serena said.
"Yep. Isn't Just Add Water amazing?" Rini said.
"Well, there's just one problem. How are we supposed to decorate this thing?"
Serena asked.
"Luckily, I had thought ahead, Serena." Rini said. She then took the Just Add
Water bottle and pointed it at herself before spraying.
"Huh? What are you doing, Rini!?" Serena shouted.
"Hehe, growing again!" Rini said. Soon, Rini began to grow as well. Luckily for
her, her winter outfit was growing with her, and she watched with great delight
as the city shrunk around her, including Serena, who had to back up from being
crushed by Rini's growing boots. Finally, Rini stopped growing when she too had
her size multiplied by 50, putting her at a height of around 170 feet tall,
around half the height of the Christmas tree.
After Rini felt the growing stop, she looked at the tree behind her.
"Now that's more like it. That tree looked really big from normal size."
Rini said.
"Rini!!" Serena said. Rini looked down at Serena, who was jumping up and down to
try and get her attention.
"Relax, Serena! Here, come join me!" Rini said. She looked at the now
extremely tiny Just Add Water bottle in her hand, and then she dropped it,
allowing Serena to catch it.
"Huh? You're letting me grow too, Rini? Why?" Serena said.
"Well, it is Christmas time, right?" Rini said.
"Oh right... I better use this before that brat changes her mind." Serena said.
She then used the bottle on herself, and then placed it in one of her coat
pockets, so that it wouldn't fall into any other hands. Just as she did that,
Serena began to grow as well. She too watched as everything around her got
smaller and smaller, including Rini and the tree, both previously towering well
above her. Serena also got 50 times bigger, putting her around 250 feet tall.
She was taller than Rini, like they were normal-sized, but the tree still
towered above her.
"Thanks, Rini." Serena said.
"Well, you're welcome. Now, how about we go around town finding decorations
for the tree?" Rini asked.
"What kind of decorations are we going to use?" Serena asked.
"Hmmmm...." Rini said. She then looked down by her boots and saw an empty
truck. She picked it up and showed it to Serena.
"Anything we can think of!" Rini said with a smile. She then walked
towards the tree and placed the truck on one of the branches.
"Ah, I see!" Serena said.
"Come on! We can find more decorations deeper in the city." Rini said.
She and Serena then gently made their way further into the city.
A few minutes later, after Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina all watched the news of
the giantesses Serena and Rini roaming around the city collecting random things
for their gigantic Christmas tree, they were running around the blocks trying to
catch up with the huge girls. Raye was leading the pack by being a few yards
ahead of the other girls.
"Man, when I get my hands on Serena, I'll teach her for growing big in the
city!" Raye said.
"Just wondering, how would you get her hands on her as big as she is?" Lita
said.
"Never mind, everyone! We should first find out what it is that caused those two
to grow." Amy said.
"Hey, look on the bright side. At least they're not destroying the city like
they've done in the past!" Mina said.
"True, though they are collecting things that don't belong to them!" Lita said.
"We can ask them when we see..." Raye said, only to have her train of thought
cut off when she ran smack into a wall of pink. The other girls stopped running
when they saw Raye crash into the object.
"Ouch! That had to hurt!" Mina said.
"Yeah, and we found them." Lita said.
"How about these wooden reindeer?" Rini asked.
"Yeah! You gotta have reindeer on a Christmas tree." Serena said.
"Okay, let's go take this stuff back to the tree." Rini said. The two
giantesses turned around and proceeded to walk back towards the tree.
"Rini! Serena!" Raye shouted. But there was no answer... in fact, Rini's next
step was on top of the other girls!
"Look out!" Amy shouted. All four girls made a quick dive out of the way before
they could be crushed by Rini. She and Serena both stepped in the spot where all
the other scouts had been standing.
"Whew... that was too close." Lita said.
"Yeah, but they're so big. They can't possibly hear us from up there." Mina
said.
"Still, we have to keep trying! Let's follow them!" Raye said before she took
off running.
"Raye, wait!" Amy shouted, and Lita and Mina eventually ran past her.
"Let's not be so hasty..." Amy said, letting out a sigh as she joined up with
the other scouts and joined in the chase once more.
After picking up a few more objects, such as cars and trucks and other
inanimate objects that they thought would look good on a Christmas tree, Serena
and Rini looked over the tree and felt they still had a few more branches to
cover.
"We still should get a few more things for this tree." Rini said.
"Yeah, not to mention find lights to light this thing up. It is almost
getting dark, after all!" Serena said.
"Hmmm... good point. But first, what else to put on the tree..." Rini
said. She then heard the loud siren noises behind her, so she turned around and
looked ahead, where she saw a fire truck flying down one of the streets.
"A fire truck! That's perfect!" Rini said.
"Whatever you say, little squirt." Serena said.
"Wait here! I'll catch that truck for us." Rini said as she took off
walking towards the vehicle.
"Just make sure you watch where you step!" Serena shouted. As she saw
Rini walk back into the heart of the city, she felt the need herself to do some
more collecting.
"Ugh... I'm not just going to stay here and wait for her. I'll get some
things myself!" Serena said as she took walked into the heart of the city.
As she made her way around, finding random objects and stuffing them into her
coat pockets to save for the tree. Serena eventually looked down by her feet and
saw the OSAP jewelry store. Immediately a smile went on her face.
"Oh... OSAP! I wonder if Molly is inside." Serena said. She got down on
her knees and bent herself down so she could see inside the OSAP building, not
an easy task as big as Serena currently was.
Meanwhile, inside OSAP, things were pretty quiet. In fact, it was because the
store was closed for Christmas Eve. The only person inside was Molly, who was
helping out in cleaning the glass casings that held much of the jewelry that the
store sold.
"There, clean as a whistle." Molly said. She turned around to head for another
glass case, and then when she tried to look outside, she saw possibly the
biggest eyeball she would ever lay sight on.
"Eeeeeek!!! What's that!?" Molly shouted.
"Hi, Molly!" Serena shouted. She then moved her head away and poked out
the glass window with one of her fingernails. Once the glass was gone, Serena
carefully put two fingers inside and plucked Molly out from the store.
"No! Help, please!!! Someone help me!" Molly shouted. She then got her first
look at the gigantic Serena, when she could see nothing but her face.
"Hehe... scared you, didn't I?" Serena asked.
"S-S-S-Serena? Is that you?" Molly said.
"That's my name, don't wear it out!" Serena said with a smile.
"Yeah, but... you're so... um... big!" Molly shouted.
"Yeah, I know. Isn't it great?" Serena said.
"Okay, I know this is an obvious question, but how did you grow so big?" Molly
asked.
"Well, let's just say I had a little help from my cousin." Serena said.
"Your cousin?" Molly said.
"Yeah. She, umm... she's studying to be a magician." Serena said.
"I'll say. She outdid herself this time!" Molly said.
"Yeah. Actually, we won't be big for long. We're only getting stuff for our
really big Christmas tree." Serena said.
"What!? Christmas tree? Where?" Molly said.
"Man, you must not be following the news today!" Serena said.
"Yeah, you're right about that. I've been helping my mom clean up OSAP today.
She's gonna brain me when she sees that broken glass down there..." Molly said.
"Well, just tell her there was a giant girl attack that caused it. It's
happened before, right?" Serena said.
"Yeah, I suppose." Molly said.
"Come on. Let me find my, um... cousin, and then you can see the tree."
Serena said. She carefully placed her best friend on one of her shoulders before
walking in another direction.
After a couple minutes of carefully walking around the city, Serena
eventually found Rini, who was looking over every square inch of the fire truck
she had been chasing all around the block.
"Enjoying your new catch?" Serena said.
"Yes, of course. Fortunately, all the firefighters jumped out before I picked
it up." Rini said.
"Oh, Rini. This is my friend, Molly. Molly, this is my... cousin, Rini."
Serena said.
"I can see the family resemblance!" Molly said.
"Hello, Molly." Rini said.
"Hey, maybe we should make her grow too, just to see what it's like to be
like this!" Serena said.
"Nope, sorry. It's just the two of us. We don't want to be greedy, right?"
Rini said with a smile.
"Alright, alright." Serena said.
"Well, I think we've gotten enough things to hang on the tree." Rini
said.
"Except the lights!" Serena said.
"Oh yeah... the lights. Where are we gonna get enough lights..." Rini
said.
"You could try down at the carnival. I know every Christmas they light up
everything in sight!" Molly shouted.
"Hey, that's a good idea! That's why you're so smart, Molly." Serena
said.
"Well... I kinda got that from studying with Melvin." Molly said.
"Alright then, to the carnival we go!" Rini said.
Meanwhile, things were running just fine at the small carnival located just
outside of the city. Until, of course, the giantesses Serena and Rini arrived.
Needless to say, everyone in the carnival ran as fast as they could. Serena and
Rini, with Molly still sitting on Rini's shoulder, walked through the area,
carefully stepping over the people and some of the smaller tents. Both girls
could get a sense of how big they were just by scanning over everything in the
area.
"Wow... everything is so tiny!" Rini said.
"Yes, I know. This is a small carnival, after all. Except for the ferris
wheel over there." Serena said, pointing over at the brightly lit
Ferris wheel that was almost as tall as Serena herself was.
"Wow! Look at all those lights. They would be PERFECT for the tree!" Rini
shouted.
"Well, let's go get them then!" Serena said.
"Wait, be careful, Serena! You could topple the entire wheel!" Molly said.
Luckily for Molly, Rini was being very careful in plucking the lights one by one
(along with the strands of power cord that powered these lights) off the wheel.
While she was doing that, Serena was picking off the rest of the lights from
many of the tents at this carnival.
"So how are you supposed to power these lights for this tree?" Molly asked.
Serena didn't answer for a few seconds, trying to think of something to say, but
luckily she thought of something.
"Well, I have an idea." Serena said. Finally, she finished her picking
with a handful of the lights that once lit up the now nearly night sky in the
city. Rini was done as well, showing off her collection of lights and with very
little damage to the once gigantic Ferris wheel.
"Here are all the lights!" Rini said.
"Great! Come on, we better hang these around the tree." Serena said.
"Serena! Molly, my dear!!" a familar voice said. Molly looked down from Serena's
shoulder.
"Hey, look! There's my mom!" Molly said. Serena looked down by her boots and saw
the tiny Mrs. Baker.
"Oh, Mrs. Baker! Hi!" Serena said.
"Serena, I think you better let me down to see her." Molly said.
"Right, good idea." Serena said. After letting down the lights that she
had grabbed from the carnival, Serena gently took Molly off her shoulder and
placed her down on the ground, where she was wrapped around the loving arms of
her mother, Mrs. Baker.
"Oh, Molly... are you alright? You're not hurt, are you?" Mrs. Baker said.
"No, I'm just fine, Mother. Serena treated me well." Molly said. Mrs. Baker
looked all the way up at the giant Serena from head to toe.
"That's amazing considering how big she looks..." Mrs. Baker said.
"Mrs. Baker, I'm sorry about what happened at OSAP, that was my fault."
Serena said.
"Well, fortunately my insurance company has giantess coverage after all the
incidents we've had lately, so no harm done!" Mrs. Baker said.
"Really? Well, I guess that's one thing to be thankful for." Serena said.
"Serena, we really need to get back to the tree!" Rini said.
"Right. Well, we better get going. Be careful you two!" Serena said. As
she and Rini walked away from the carnival, Molly gave Serena her best wishes.
"Merry Christmas, Serena!" Molly said.
"So, Molly? What are they doing with all those lights?" Mrs. Baker asked.
"It's a long story... but basically they're trying to throw the biggest
Christmas party ever for this city." Molly said.
"Well, knowing those two, they will surely succeed. Come on, we better get home.
I'll let you open one present tonight!" Mrs. Baker said.
"Thanks, Mother!" Molly said as the two walked home.
Finally, the two girls made it back to the Christmas tree. Rini was able to
sight some familiar friends waiting down at the bottom of the tree. There were
also several other people gathered around, but they were all more interested in
the gigantic tree than the presence of the giantesses Serena and Rini.
"Look, Serena! There are the other sailor scouts!" Rini said.
"Heh, Raye's probably gonna chew me out again on us growing so big."
Serena said.
"Nothing we can't handle, right?" Rini said.
"Hey, girls! So what's up?" Serena asked.
"You mean aside from you?" Lita asked. She and the other girls were already
transformed into sailor scout form.
"Serena, Rini! You can't do this! This city doesn't need another giantess
attack!" Amy shouted.
"Relax, Sailor Mercury! We've been very careful around the city. You didn't
break anything, right Rini?" Serena asked.
"Well, not much, but nothing to worry about!" Rini said.
"And what are you going with all those lights, meatball head!?" Raye shouted.
"They're for our tree! Haven't you seen it?" Serena said, pointing at the
object which had a whole bunch of 'ornaments' sitting on many of the branches.
"Well, it does look spectactular." Mina said.
"For something that was bought from a tree store, no doubt. And with ornaments
made out of objects that don't belong to us..." Lita said.
"Come on, Rini. Let's get these lights on the tree." Serena said.
"You bet!" Rini said with a smile. The two girls then got to work,
throwing strand after strand of lights around the many branches of the tree. The
people would scamper out of the way (but not too far) as both the giantesses and
the many lights were moving around the tree.
Raye was still deeply concerned with the presence of both Serena and Rini at
their huge sizes.
"Guys, we have to do something! How are we gonna get those two back to normal
this time?" Raye asked.
"I don't know. The people here don't seem to mind. Probably because of the
beautiful tree." Mina said.
"And they did say they had no intention of causing harm in the city." Lita said.
"That's an amazing first for Rini." Mina said.
"Hmmm... you know, they do bring up good points. And it is Christmas time, after
all." Amy said. The other sailor scouts then stopped talking and simply watched
as the giantesses put the lights up on the tree.
A couple minutes later, all the lights were finally on the tree.
"Finished!" Serena said.
"Yep! Although there is of course the problem of lighting up the tree..."
Rini said.
"No problem, I have that covered. Sailor Jupiter?" Serena said.
"Huh, me?" Lita asked.
"You're a bundle of electricity, you can light up these lights, right!?"
Serena said.
"Well... I suppose I can try. Sparkling Wide Pressure!" Lita shouted. Gathering
up electicity with her powers, Lita formed a ball of lightning that she threw up
towards the lowest light on the tree. As soon as the lightning made contact, the
light lit up, and soon, the rest of the lights came on one-by-one. Eventually,
the entire tree was lit up, lighting up the night like in New York City. The
entire crowd no longer was afraid of what they were seeing. In fact, everyone
started applauding over the beautiful sight of the Christmas tree.
"Wow, look at that!" Mina shouted.
"It's... it's magnificent!" Amy said.
"And you did all this by yourselves?" Raye asked up to the giantesses.
"Pretty impressive, eh?" Serena said. Rini just smiled, but then frowned,
and Serena immediately caught this.
"What's wrong, Rini?" Serena said.
"Well, something's still missing." Rini said.
"Oh, and what's that?" Serena said.
"The Christmas songs. But I can fix that! Luna Ball!" Rini said, calling
out in the open skies behind her. Amazingly enough, her Luna Ball (which was
still regular size and therefore the size of a green bean to Rini) came flying
towards her owner and she caught it in her hand.
"So what is that you're going to create now?" Serena asked.
"You'll see. Kitty Magic, I want a stereo!" Rini said. She threw the Luna
Ball up in the air, and it transformed into a pink-colored compact stereo,
complete with speakers and CD player. She took the object and laid it down at
the bottom of the tree.
"Someone start the music, please!" Rini said.
"I'm on it!" Mina shouted as she ran towards the stereo and pressed the play
button. Right away, the music started coming out of the stereo, and it was all
Christmas tunes sung by the Peach Hips group. Songs like Rudolph the Red Nosed
Reindeer, Jingle Bells, and When the Saints Go Marching In would play out of the
musical device. Eventually, the people that gathered around the tree as well as
the sailor scouts would sing along with these Christmas carols.
The giantesses, Serena and Rini, simply enjoyed what they put so much hard
work throughout this Christmas Eve.
"Perfect! Now it's perfect with all these people singing along!" Serena
said. Rini just smiled, and finally, she did something that would surprise
Serena at first. Rini wrapped her arms around as much of Serena as she could.
"Merry Christmas, Mommy." Rini said. Serena just smiled and hugged her
future daughter right back.
"Merry Christmas... Rini." Serena said.
