Big O' Momo

Momo, still in her school uniform, watched as the automatic doors slid open, allowing her to walk inside Mei Hatsume’s lab. As per usual, there were gadgets and liquid bottles everywhere letting out sights and sounds, but Mei herself was nowhere to be found.
“Mei! Where are you?” Momo asked as she walked around every corner of the lab. There were many experiments to be seen, but Mei was nowhere to be found. Also missing from view was Kyoka Jiro, her best friend and often a teammate whenever her class is on assignment.
“Huh… Kyoka’s not here either? She swore to me she and Mei would be here working on some new stuff. Like 7.1 surround sound capable earplugs…” Momo said to herself.

As Momo walked around seeing if the two ladies were buried somewhere, she eventually had to stop when she came across a much smaller piece of machinery on one of the desks. Momo raised her eyebrows as she walked up to the raygun sitting by its lonesome on the table.
“Hmph. Mei sure doesn’t build shooting devices this small often.” Momo said as she picked up the raygun and examined it from every angle.
“Hmmmm… I wonder what this particular model does.” Momo said. Then she saw the raygun suddenly whirr to life.
“Huh?” Momo asked herself as she nervously looked at the gun.

Meanwhile, in another part of the huge lab, Kyoka and Mei were indeed in a place where Momo wouldn’t find them. Of course, they weren’t avoiding her on purpose. They were back here to look for something.
“Ugh… seriously, Mei? The part we need for my 7.1 surround sound capable earplugs is in this pile of junk?” Kyoka said.
“Of course! Such tiny machinery calls for tiny parts, especially when it comes to audio enhancements!” Mei shouted cheerfully.
“Yeah, but… this is like looking for a needle in a haystack!” Kyoka said.
“Hey, it could be worse! You could be a 50-foot-tall Mount Lady trying to catch a few bank robbers without destroying the city!” Mei said. Suddenly, the two ladies after throwing away more useless parts, heard an alarm go off in Mei’s pocket.
“What the!?” Kyoka said.
“Ah… don’t be afraid. That’s just one of my security alarms.” Mei said as she looked down at her PDA-like device.
“Hmmm… it seems someone has gotten a hold of my newest raygun…” Mei said.
“Newest raygun? What does it do?” Kyoka said.
“Well, let’s just say that whoever is trying to steal that gun… their world is about to get waaaaaaay bigger! Hahaha!” Mei said as she happily pressed a button on the keypad.

And that’s how the raygun was coming to life seemingly on its own. All Momo knew was that if she didn’t put the device now, she was about to get a face full of laser.
But alas, that’s exactly what happened as Momo watched the gun fire and its laser hit her in the head.
“Ow!” Momo said as she stumbled backwards, dropping the gun and eventually crashing against a table full of machine parts, knocking it over and sending parts everywhere on the floor.
“Oops.” Momo said. But then she looked over herself. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. She didn’t turn into a grotesque toad, for one thing.
“Well, at least I’m still my normal self.” Momo said, and yet she was changing in some fashion, as she would quickly find out when Kyoka and Mei entered the main room.
“Oh, Momo!” Kyoka shouted. Momo looked over and saw Kyoka and Mei approaching, though she did briefly find it curious that some inventions that once towered over her looked a bit smaller all of a sudden.
“There you are, Kyoka! You could’ve at least told me exactly in the lab you would be.” Momo said.
“Heh, sorry. Mei told me I should be with her straight away so that…” Kyoka said.

But then the girl stopped talking and looked up. Momo, meanwhile, looked down. Something was way off, they both thought.
“Uh… Momo? Are you wearing high heels? I know you’re pretty tall already, but I don’t remember you being THAT much taller than me.” Kyoka said.
“Well, last I checked, no, I’m not wearing high heels.” Momo said as she showed off the bottoms of her brown shoes. Momo was now a fair bit taller than Kyoka now, and it only took seconds for Mei to realize what had happened as she picked up the raygun from the floor.
“Whoops… I had this thing set on grow. Maybe I should’ve put LEDs on this thing to tell me what mode it’s on.” Mei said.
“Mei, talk to me, please.” Momo said.
“Well, I guess you were the one that picked up that size-changing raygun. I put a security chip inside to tell me if anyone other than me was holding onto it. The idea was supposed to be that it would shoot that intruder and shrink him or her down to an itty bitty cookie crumb size!” Mei said. Both Momo and Kyoka gulped a bit nervously but quickly recovered.

Mei quickly tapped a few buttons on her keypad.
“Of course, I put in a growth function as well just in case of mishaps like this. Hmmm… according to my readouts, you are now just under 8 feet tall, Momo!” Mei said.
“Swell.” Momo said.
“That’s all? I guess we should be lucky, Momo!” Kyoka said.
“Well, I wouldn’t breathe easy just yet. If I programmed that raygun correctly, you’re gonna have some more growth spurts, Momo. But don’t worry! They should be very minimal. Your size will be manageable enough to zap you back to normal size once this thing is recharged.” Mei said.
“Huh? You can’t just instantly shoot me back to normal size?” Momo said.
“I wish I could, but the chips powering this thing get hot very quickly. Too many zaps and, I mean this literally, BOOM! The gun blows up, leaving whoever gets zapped either big or tiny, whatever the case may be, and considering it took me months to put this thing together…!” Mei said.
“I think we get the idea, Mei. You just keep an eye on that gun’s status, but maybe take your time as well? I think it’s kinda cool to be looking much higher up at Momo.” Kyoka said.
“You’re far too kind, Kyoka Jiro. I’ll just go home for now.” Momo said as she turned around and started to walk out of the lab. Mei then scooted over towards Kyoka.
“Hmmm… I think you better follow her, Kyoka, just in case something goes wrong with her growth spurts. Don’t worry, I can still have those earbud enhancements ready by tonight.” Mei said.
“Okay, Mei. Thanks!” Kyoka said as she followed her friend outside the testing lab.

The two are walking down the streets making their way to Momo’s home. Unsurprisingly, Momo was getting a number of shocked looks from ordinary citizens as they looked up at her nearly 8-foot-tall figure.
“Play it cool, Momo. Just pretend they’re not looking at you.” Kyoka said.
“Easier said than done.” Momo said.
“Yeah! Just like staying alive! Teeheehee!” a female voice suddenly shouted.
“Huh? Who was that?” Kyoka said. The duo then saw a metallic hose flying towards them.
“Look out!” Momo said as the two jumped backwards to avoid being whiplashed. As the two caught their breath happy to avoid the attack, they saw a familiar face jump down from the nearby trees.
“Toga!” Kyoka shouted.
“That’s right, my pretties. Nothing like a perfectly timed ambush to start my evening.” Toga said. As she recoiled her Capturing Weapon, she then looked over at Momo.
“Oooooh… I see my friend is going through a little growth spurt.” Toga said. Momo clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, but Kyoka stepped in front of her.
“Leave Momo alone! I’ll fight you!” Kyoka said.
“Suit yourself, but if I win, I’d like to have whatever secret sauce that made Momo taller. Haaaaa!” Toga said as she charged towards Kyoka.

The two clashed it out with their weaponry, with Toga using the Capturing Weapon and Kyoka batting it away with her flying earbuds. It seemed like the battle would never end with both sides clashing with each other for a few minutes. Eventually, Toga got the upper hand and managed to trap Kyoka with the metallic wrap.
“What do you say I test my throw strength? Yaaaa!” Toga said as she flung Kyoka loose, causing her to crash against a nearby wall and slump down to her knees. Momo gasped.
“Kyoga!!!” Momo shouted. She then looked towards Toga with her pupils dilated.
“Awww… what’s wrong, did I hurt your baby friend?” Toga asked.
“Damn you!” Momo shouted. Suddenly, the girl went through another growth spurt, which took Toga by surprise. Already Momo looked tall at just 8 feet tall, but Momo had shot up to nearly 20 feet tall now.
“Oooooookay, I think I’ve overstayed my welcome.” Toga said as she tried to run and jump away. However, thanks to the growth spurts, Momo had a longer stride that allowed her to quickly catch up with Toga. She grabbed the villainess by the arm and lifted her up off the ground.
“You made a big mistake, Toga. Pun intended!” Momo said as she tossed Toga to the side, allowing her backside to crash against the same building that Kyoka was tossed to.

As Kyoka slowly got back on her feet, she found herself looking up a lot higher than before as she got her first look at the now 20-foot-tall Momo.
“Well now, I think you’ve set a record for fastest and biggest growth spurt. Heh heh heh…” Kyoka said.
“Yeah, I guess. I don’t know I feel too good about being this big, though.” Momo said.
“Hey, come on, now. It can’t be that bad. Look at Mt. Lady!” Kyoka said.
“Yeah, true. Anyway, we should contact another hero to take Toga away.” Momo said.
“I’m on it.” Kyoka said as she dug out a cell phone from her outfit. In doing so, however, she and Momo both took their eyes off Toga, who was standing back on her feet. By the time Momo looked back over towards Toga, the villainess threw pocket sand up towards the giantess’s eyes. Momo couldn’t possibly dodge the attack in time and suddenly found herself blinded by the sand.
“Ack! I can’t see!!” Momo shouted as she shook and rubbed her eyes. Toga, meanwhile, cackled as she sprinted away from both Momo and Kyoka. Kyoka stared at the escaping Toga before turning back and seeing Momo grow once again, this time to a shade over 30 feet tall.

Momo looks over and sees she’s taller than the couple apartment buildings nearby, so she ducks down so that the rest of the city can’t see her. Kyoka, meanwhile, slowly walks towards her growing friend, standing in between her legs as they rested on the ground.
“Waaaah! I don’t like this, Kyoka! I’m not like Mt. Lady… I don’t like being this tall!” Momo shouted.
“Okay, okay, Momo. Just calm down.” Kyoka said.
“I’m trying! But I want Mei to fix this now!!” Momo shouted as she grew yet again, this time to 40 feet tall.
“I’ll get her to come down here now. But if I may, Momo?” Kyoka said.
“What?” Momo asked.
“At least the view is nice from down here.” Kyoka said. Momo couldn’t help but giggle a little bit.
“You’re lucky we’re such good friends. If it was a perv I’d probably stomp them into mush.” Momo said, with Kyoka giggling back at her.

Before the two could chat any further, however, the two suddenly heard exploding sounds in the distance. Momo stood back up and looked over the nearby buildings. She spotted a giant Nomu walking around wrecking the city, with Toga standing on the monster’s shoulder.
“It’s Toga again, and this time she’s riding a giant Nomu!” Momo said.
“Oh my! We can’t let that thing wreck the city.” Kyoka said.
“I know, but Mt. Lady can take care of that thing.” Momo said.
“Wait, Momo. Why wait on Mt. Lady. You’ve got the size, you can probably take that ugly creature on!” Kyoka said.
“What!? Me?” Momo said.
“Why not? You’ve got the size to prove it!” Kyoka said. Momo looked back and forth between her friend between her giant brown shoes and Toga and the Nomu.
“You’re right. I can do this… I have to do this!” Momo said as she clenched her fists and walked down the streets, making sure not to crush anything in her path, like people and vehicles, although that was easy given this street was nearly empty.
“Uh… Momo? Aren’t you forgetting someone?” Kyoka suddenly said.
“Oh, right. Sorry.” Momo said as she walked back towards Kyoka and kneeled down to scoop her up in her hands, picking her up like a child’s doll. Momo carefully set Kyoka on one of her shoulders before marching down the street.

Meanwhile, people ran for whatever cover they could find as the Nomu marched around causing all sorts of destruction. Toga laughed as she watched her creation lay it out on the city.
“Hahaha! Go, my pet, and wreck the city! And the best part? This’ll kick that Momo girl’s ass. She may be tall, but this Nomu here is even taller!” Toga said.
“Hold it right there!” Momo shouted. Toga and the Nomu turned to see Momo had finally arrived, but Toga’s jaw fell figuratively to the ground as she saw Momo was just as tall as the Nomu.
“What the fudge!?” Toga shouted. Obviously Toga had no idea Momo had undergone a couple more growth spurts ever since she escaped her grasp earlier.
“You’ve crossed the line, Toga! I’ll make sure I send your Nomu packing for rampaging around the city!” Momo shouted.
“Bleh! You can’t boss us around! You may be as tall as Nomu, but it’ll still give you quite the beatdown! Go, my creation!” Toga said as she hopped off the Nomu and watched the battle that was about to ensue from a rooftop. Momo, meanwhile, set Kyoka down atop a nearby building.
“Kyoka… stay here where it’s safe.” Momo said, with Kyoka watching as she charged headstrong towards the Nomu.
“Go get it, Momo!” Kyoka cheered.

Both 40-foot-tall combatants, Momo and the Nomu, locked hands as they grappled with each other trying to get the upper hand. Finally, it was Momo who lifted the Nomu up above her head. In reality, this was no contest whatsoever. The Nomu may have been built to crush vehicles under its feet like tin cans, but it was no match for the close combat skills of Momo.
“I think it’s time you took a permanent vacation! HAAAAAA!!” Momo shouted as she threw the Nomu into the sky, vanishing in a blink of light.
Toga was once again dumbfounded. How was it this girl was always finding ways to defy logic!? She had to snap back to reality when she saw Momo looking down on her.
“Now then, Toga? Am I going to have to do this the hard way?” Momo said.
“Bleh! This is not over! I’ll return soon with my biggest plan yet!” Toga shouted as she proceeded to hop from one building rooftop to the next. Momo started to chase after the villainess, but there was no need to now as she watched Toga go smacking into a purple wall. That wall was actually the gloved hand of the 67-foot-tall heroine who can enlarge naturally thanks to her Gigantification quirk.

I’m talking, of course, about Yu Takeyama… aka Mt. Lady.
“Toga! You’ve got some nerve showing up out in broad daylight like this! I got a call saying you were causing trouble again.” Mt. Lady said.
“Who? Me? Causing trouble? What makes you say that?” Toga said.
“Ugh… don’t get cute with me. You’re coming with me to be dropped off at the police station.” Mt. Lady said as she stretched out the top portion of her hero’s outfit, dropped Toga inside and trapped her in between her boobs and her outfit.
Momo breathed a sigh of relief that it was Mt. Lady who had seemingly come to her aid after Kyoka Jiro made her call.
“Whew… thanks, Mt. Lady. I gotta say it’s an honor to meet…” Momo started to say, only to be interrupted by a suddenly angry looking Mt. Lady.
“Young lady! What were you thinking? Don’t you know the punishment is severe for using your quirk in an unauthorized manner!?” Mt. Lady shouted. Momo was taken aback, not just by the angry flare up from the heroine, but also that she was assuming her quirk was Gigantification just like hers when it really wasn’t.
“Um… listen, Mt. Lady, I can explain!” Momo said.
“Save it. I’m obligated to take you back to the academy for questioning. Please come with me.” Mt. Lady said as she gently grabbed Momo’s arm.

This made Momo a nervous wreck. How was the academy going to react to what had happened to her? Were they also going to confuse her quirk and possibly kick her out of the academy? If Mt. Lady wasn’t going to listen to her, what chance did she have with the academy?
“P-P-Please. I didn’t mean to…” Momo said, almost letting a few tears come down her eyes. That panic attack, you guessed it, would trigger another growth spurt, and this one was a bit more potent.
Mt. Lady wouldn’t notice Momo’s newest growth spurt until she felt her arm (the one that was holding onto Mono) rising upward. She thought initially that Momo was trying to break free.
“Will you stop strangling? As long as you cooperate, you’ll…” Mt. Lady said as she turned around, only to see a face full of Momo’s covered chest. Momo now stood somewhere between 75-80 feet tall as Mt. Lady let go in surprise and backed away from the taller giantess. In reality, because Momo was 6 inches taller than Mt. Lady when she was at her normal size, the two giantesses were in proportion with each other. Still, Mt. Lady was shocked to see someone outsize her for a change. Momo, meanwhile, blushed red seeing not just Mt. Lady, but the rest of the city smaller than before.
“S-S-Sorry! I can explain!” Momo said with a nervous smile.

However, before anything more could be said between the two giantesses, Mt. Lady looked behind Momo and saw a dark light shining a few blocks away. The light disappeared, and taking its place was a Godzilla-type monster approaching the city’s main bridge.
“Oh no! A high class monster trying to destroy the bridge!” Mt. Lady said. She ran past Momo, but stopped and looked back at her.
“Please wait for me here and try not to cause any trouble!” Mt. Lady said before she charged towards the monster. Momo looked down and saw her right shoe inches away from a parked vehicle. She sighed seeing how close she came to crushing such a small object.
“Easier said than done.” Momo muttered.
“Momo! Down here, Momo!” the familiar voice of Kyoka shouted. Momo looked down and saw Kyoka Jiro approaching, and not too far behind her was Mei Hatsume.
“Oh, Kyoka! What’s Mei doing here?” Momo asked.
“Hey up there, Big O’ Momo! I got the size-changing gun retooled to shrink you back to normal!” Mei said.
“Great! Hurry up and fix me already!” Momo said.
“All I have to do is press this button and…” Mei said as she indeed pushed said button, with a laser firing out and covering Momo from head to toe.
However, only a few seconds later, her confident facial expression suddenly turns to that of nervousness. Both she and Kyoka looked up and up and up…
“Mei, what’s going on?” Kyoka said.
“Er… nothing to sweat about, Kyoka. Just a bug or two in the gun’s programming…” Mei said.

Meanwhile, back near the bridges that lead into the city, Mount Lady was giving her all against the same-sized monster as her. But this monster proved to be a real challenge. A combination of brute strength and quick moves gave it the edge over Mt. Lady, who suddenly found herself whacked in the gut by the monster’s tail. She fell down to one knee tryin to catch her breath, soon standing back up with an angry look on her face.
“Alright, tough guy. You’re leaving me no choice. Prepare for the ultimate punch in the face!” Mt. Lady said as she charged up her fists with energy. She was so focused on the monster, she didn’t notice an enormous shadow suddenly block out all sunlight from the city despite no clouds in the sky. The monster also looked stunned, with Mt. Lady thought it was trembling in fear from getting ready to deal with a powerful attack from the giantess.

But it was a different giantess that the monster was fearing. A much, MUCH bigger one.

Mt. Lady charged forward and was ready to punch the monster in the face, only to swing and hit nothing but air as the monster was suddenly lifted in the air.
“Whoa whoa whoa!” Mt. Lady said as she stumbled forward to try and keep her momentum from sending her crashing onto a couple buildings. After spending a few seconds recovering, Mt. Lady turned around, gasped, and looked a very long way up. The reason the monster was suddenly in the air? An incredibly massive Momo, probably around a thousand feet tall now, was dangling the monster in the air by its tail. Momo smirked as she held the monster up to her left eye. The sheer size of the eye left the monster almost motionless with fear.
“You’ve been a very bad high class monster. You deserve to be in a high class cage.” Momo said, her voice echoing for miles. With a snap of her fingers, the monster suddenly found itself trapped in a cage matching its size. Momo set the cage down right next to Mt. Lady, who whistled as she looked up at Momo.
“*whistles* Now I know how Kanime Woods feels.” Mt. Lady said.
“I’m sorry, Mt. Lady. I hope it doesn’t hurt your reputation by me standing out like this.” Momo said.
“Hey, don’t sweat it. I just want to know how it is you have two quirks. Gigantification AND Creation.” Mt. Lady said.
“I tried to tell you. Creation is my quirk. I’m only this big because of an experiment gone wrong by Mei Hatsume.” Momo said.
“Figures. That girl always seems to be up to something off. I wonder where she is?” Mt. Lady said.

Suddenly, Momo found herself covered in a different colored light. She briefly wondered in a worrying fashion if she was growing even bigger, but instead she was going the other way, and very fast too.
“Oh? I guess my big time fun is over now!” Momo said as she continued to rapidly shrink. It only took 30 seconds for Momo to be smaller than Mt. Lady again, and another 10 seconds before she was back to her normal size.
“Alright! The shrinking side of my size changing gun is a total success!” Mei shouted as she and Kyoka ran up to Momo.
“Whew! Welcome back, Momo!” Kyoka said.
“Thanks. It’s good to be normal size again, but… I’m not going to shrink when I get worried, will I?” Momo asked.
“Nope! I got that bug straightened out. Now your emotions no longer dictate how big or small you get. I told you both I’d fix it!” Mei said.
“Thanks, Mei.” Momo said.
“You’re welcome, though I do have a confession to make.” Mei said.
“Huh? What’s that?” Momo asked.
“I actually could have shrunken you back to normal earlier… I just wanted to see how big you could possibly grow. Heeheehee!” Mei giggled.

Momo, however, was not laughing. In fact, she gave a stone cold stare towards Mei.
“Mei… perhaps you’d like to test the strength of my fists at the size I’m at?” Momo said with a sly smile as she pounded her fists together.
“Eeep! My my, look at the time! Gotta get back to the lab now! Science never sleeps after all!” Mei said as she took off running, with Momo and Kyoka following from behind. Mt. Lady just rolled her eyes and giggled as she watched all the action from above.
“Teenage girls.” Mt. Lady said. She then turned around and watched a few helicopters come flying in, waving at them as she realized they were here to pick up the monster and carry it away.

As for the normal citizens of the city (none of whom died miraculously during all this), they kinda brushed everything they saw happen aside, especially in regard to the giantesses, as just another day in a city full of quirky heroes.
