Hotaru came to Shikada Dagashi as she would always do. The place was devoid of any people, as to be expected of the place. Not even Kokonotsu was around. "Hello?" said Hotaru. "Kokonotsu? Are you in?"

She went into the shop and laid down on the floor. "I'm sure that Kononotsu won't mind that I take a little rest here until he gets back," said Hotaru. She then closed her eyes and took a nap.

Just then, Hotaru heard a familiar voice speak to her: "Hey, Hotaru." She opened her eyes to find Kokonotsu holding a large box. "Hey there, Coconuts," replied Hotaru. "What do you have in the box there?"

Kokonotsu responded, "Just something that you might love in there." He set the box down beside Hotaru and opened it. Inside it were various candies, cupcakes, and other confectioneries. Hotaru's eyes widened from the sheer amount of sweets she was looking at.

"Thanks a lot, Kokonotsu!" said Hotaru as her eyes glimmered with joy. "Where did you find this delectable assortment?" Kokonotsu replied, "It just came today. I don't who sent it, but I knew you'd like it. Help yourself for as much as you want as I head upstairs."

As Kokonotsu went up to his room, Hotaru picked up a small blue candy from the box. As she was about to devour the candy piece, she heard a small voice say "Stop!" Hotaru looked around to find where the voice came from, but nothing showed itself. She then proceeded to eat the candy again, and the voice shouted, "Don't eat me!"

Hotaru stopped and found that the candy she held had a face on it! She gasped and dropped the piece of candy, bouncing off of her breasts and onto the floor. Hotaru looked at the piece of candy and said, "What exactly are you? I've never had candy that could come alive before."

The candy piece replied, "I'm not a piece of your Earthly treats, but a Can'dy from the planet Yellow 5." Hotaru, stumped by the living candy's statement, said, "A Can'dy?" The blue candy alien replied, "That's right. Everyone in that box is a Can'dy as well."Hotaru looked into the box to find that all of the sweets now had faces on them.

"We've traveled far and wide for a place we could call home," said the blue Can'dy." "So would you please take us in, voracious Earth creature?" Hotaru replied, "I'll take you in, all right... take you into my stomach because you all look so good enough to eat!" She took a Can'dy that took the form of a pink cupcake out of the box.

"Wait!" said the cupcake Can'dy. "If you'll spare us from being eaten, we'll make you our queen." Hotaru put the cupcake Can'dy down and replied, "Your queen, huh? I've always wanted to be queen of sweets, though not in this manner. Okay then. You've got a deal."

"Good!" said the blue Can'dy. Using their telekinetic powers, the Can'dies floated up from the box as well as a golden crown which they placed on Hotaru's head. "I am now the Can'dy Queen!" Hotaru said proudly. She stepped outside of Shikada Dagashi with her newfound servants by her side.

Suddenly, Hotaru started growing until she reached a height of 40 feet. She looked down and said, "Why am I so big now?" The cupcake Can'dy replied, "It's because of the crown. Anyone who wears the crown will become the size fit for being our queen." Hotaru said, "I don't know why I have to be big to be your queen, but I like it."

In his room, Kokonotsu looked out his window and was shocked to see the giant Hotaru. He quickly ran downstairs to find that she was actually big and that he wasn't imagining things. "Hotaru?" said Kokonotsu. "What has happened to you?" Hotaru replied, "I'm the Can'dy Queen now, Koko-"

Suddenly, something came over Hotaru. What she saw below her wasn't her friend, but a candy that she craves so much. Hotaru picked Kokonotsu up and licked her lips after she held him up to her face. "Don't do this, Hotaru!" shouted Kokonotsu. "Don't eat me!" But his words were ignored as Hotaru dropped him into her open mouth.

Kokonotsu struggled inside Hotaru's mouth before he was swallowed by her. "Mmm!" went Hotaru. "Even though you didn't taste like coconuts, you tasted just as good."

The cupcake Can'dy said, "Everything is going according to our plan!" The blue Can'dy replied, "Indeed it is! Our ultimate weapon is ready! We will now commence with our invasion of this planet!"

Several spaceships resembling wrapped candy and other sweets descended from the sky and most of the Can'dies beamed up on them to start their attack. The cupcake and the blue Can'dies, as well as a few others, floated onto Hotaru so they could see the action for themselves. Hotaru devoured every person she came across as she made her way to the nearest city.

When she finally made it to a city, Hotaru came to a bus that was by her feet. She picked up the bus, but in her eyes, the bus was a bag of candy. Hotaru opened the bus' top and devoured the people inside it one by one before shoveling everyone down her mouth. "Delicious!" she said. "Success!" exclaimed the cupcake Can'dy. "We have turned mankind's greatest weapon against them!" said the blue Can'dy.

As the Can'dy ships unleashed their destruction upon the city using their lasers, Hotaru was busy ripping apart buildings to feast upon the people inside them. To her, Hotaru wasn't looking at buildings, but jars, bags, and packages filled with the stuff she loves so much.

No force in the world was able to stop them as the Can'dy ships obliterated every tank, fighter jet, and copter that stood in their way, or Hotaru would just gulp them down. The Earth now belonged to the Can'dies and Hotaru, their Can'dy Queen.

Just then, Hotaru heard a familiar voice say, "Hotaru?" She woke up and found herself in Shikada Dagashi at her normal size and Kokonotsu holding a large box. "Oh, hey, Coconuts," she said. "I had a pretty crazy dream and you were in it! Anyway, what's in the box?"

Kokonotsu replied, "Just something you might love in there as you tell me about your dream." He sat the box down beside Hotaru and opened it. Hotaru's eyes glimmered with joy by what she saw in the box.
